Problem
IP cameras without backup power
Surveillance system installers needed portable backup power for PoE cameras operating in the field. Existing UPS solutions were too large, too expensive and did not support the PoE standard. Power outages meant monitoring interruptions — which was unacceptable for critical facilities.
Solution
Compact UPS with PoE passthrough
We designed a compact device with custom PCB, PoE 802.3af passthrough power and LiFePO4 batteries. The device automatically switches to battery power during grid failure. Battery status monitoring and alerts via SNMP enable remote fleet management. Three voltage versions (12V, 24V, 48V) cover all popular IP camera configurations.

From own product to international distribution
Smart PowerBank PoE is distributed in 4 markets: United Kingdom, Germany, France and USA. Available in three voltage versions: SPB-12V (routers, alarms), SPB-24V (MikroTik, UBNT) and SPB-48V (IP cameras). The product has been in continuous sales since 2020, with regular firmware updates via OTA.
